The Categories for funding opportunities are,

1) RESEARCH PROFESSORSHIP

Research Professorship

The Research Professorship provides funding to full professors who have made significant contributions in the field of environmental engineering and sustainability, climate change, ecosystems, and disaster management and are dedicated to mentoring the next generation of researchers.

Guidelines :

The Research Professorship Award has been given based on the following criteria,

Comparative Effectiveness Research in environmental engineering and sustainability.

New Developments in the field of environmental engineering and sustainability.

Translational Research

Awards are given based on individual merit and availability of funds.

Application Instructions

All applications must be submitted in accordance with the requirements and instructions of the Research Professorship Request for Proposals . All application materials must be in English and must be submitted through the Apply for Research Funding

2) CAREER DEVELOPMENT AWARD

The Career Development Award (CDA) of ISERS provides research funding to engineering researchers who have received their initial faculty appointment, as they work to establish an independent engineering research program. Their research must have a laboratory-oriented focus, including a theoretical research study.

Awards are given based on individual merit and availability of funds.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria to qualify for the Career Development Award:

The applicant must be a Professor (M.Tech or Phd, MSc, Mphil) working in any country with a full-time faculty appointment in a University

The applicant must be in the first to third year of a full-time primary faculty appointment in a University at an academic institution at the time of grant submission.

The applicant must have completed productive postdoctoral research and demonstrated the ability to undertake independent investigator-initiated research.

The applicant must be an ISERS Member or have submitted a membership application with the grant application. To apply for membership, or to renew your existing membership, please visit Membership

The applicant should be able to commit more than 50% of full-time effort in research (applies to total research, not just the proposed project) during the award period.

The applicant should have a mentor from the sponsoring institution who must provide a letter of support. If the mentor is not an ISERS Member, a supporting letter from an ISERS Member from the sponsoring institution must be included.

Eligible faculties are allowed to hold only one grant from ISERS at a time.

3) LONG - TERM INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIP

The ISERS Long-term International Fellowship (LIFe) provides early-career environmental professionals by providing the support and resources needed to advance their training by deepening their relationship with a mentor from the developed countries. During the one-year fellowship, the recipients receive valuable training and experience, which they use to effect change in the engineering research in their home country.

Eligibility

All of the following criteria must be met in order to qualify for the Long-term International Fellowship:

The applicant must be a Life Time member of ISERS, or a pending member awaiting acceptance.

The applicant must be a Professional (MSc,Mphil, M.Tech, Phd) who has completed a subspecialty training program.

The applicant must have less than 10 years of experience in the field of environmental Science,Climate Change, Disaster Management.
